Address and route

You will find our EXPO in the middle of the old city centre of Utrecht: Hamburgerstraat 28, 3512 NS Utrecht. It is a 15 minutes walk from the Central Station Utrecht.

If you are looking for information about our reading room and research facilities please click here.

Public transport

Take the exit Centrumzijde at the Central Station Utrecht. Get on the bus Nr. 2 at platform A2. Exit the bus at the stop Domplein or Catharijneconvent. From here it is a 5 minutes walk to the EXPO. Plan your route at 9292.

By car

The old city centre of Utrecht is very difficult to access by car and there are no parking spaces near the museum. We strongly recommend to use public transport.

If you visit Utrecht by car follow the parking routes (P) to parking garage Springweg (use the address Strosteeg 83, Utrecht in your navigation app) or parking garage Kruisstraat. From these parkings it is about 10 minutes walk to the museum.

By bicycle

Utrecht is a perfect city to explore on a bicycle. You can rent a bicycle at one of the many rentals in the city, for example Bike rental Laag Catharijne or Renting an OV-fiets.

We want to be open and accessible to all visitors. We hope the following information will help you plan your trip to the EXPO.

The location is accessible for disabled visitors. If you require assistance or the entrance into the museum poses an accessibility barrier, please let our staff know and they'll be happy to assist you. You can contact us in advance so we know when you'll visit us and can assist you upon arrival.

The main entrance of the museum is only accessible via stairs. The entrance for visitors in a wheelchair is at Restaurant De Rechtbank, Korte Nieuwstraat 14. The staff of the hotel and restaurant will assist you. Inside the museum we have an elevator to the exhibition rooms downstairs. The (disabled) toilets are downstairs and reachable by elevator. In our building most rooms are wheelchair accessible.

You may bring your assistance dog or guide dog.
